Water Champion - Sandy

Sandy had an annoying leaking tap in the shower.  She was using a bucket to capture and reuse the water, but knew she needed to get it fixed.  She was worried about the cost of repairs however, so was hesitant to call a plumber.  "The leak got the better of me though, so I picked up the phone and called Scatt's Plumbing", explains Sandy. "They are the ones that told me that the leak may be covered by Living Water Smart's Leak Find and Fix rebate".  

Sandy was thrilled that both the cost of the call out for the plumber and the repair job to fix the leak was covered by the rebate.  "I had no out of pockets expenses at all!" 

The story continues however, as it was not long after the shower leak had been fixed that another sprung in the toilet!  "For this leak I was unable to capture the water in a bucket, and knowing about the Leak Find and Fix rebate, I rang Scatt's Plumbing straight away.  I was pleasantly surprised to hear that this leak may also be covered by the $200 rebate, and sure enough the plumber arrived and was able to fix the leak with no cost to me", said Sandy. 

"If I find another leak I'll be straight on the phone.  I urge all residents of Katherine to pick up the phone if they suspect they have a leak. Your leak might seem small and insignificant however if we let leaks go, then collectively as a community we are wasting a precious and finite resource when we don't have to.  Take advantage of this rebate whilst we have access to it - you simply have nothing to lose", urges Sandy.

The $200 rebate covers:

• Attendance (call out fee) by one of our registered plumbers at your home or business for 30 minutes to validate the presence of a leak, and the volume of water leaking.
• Leak detection services to find the location of your leak (e.g. in the irrigation, toilet, or an underground pipe etc).
• If it’s a quick and easy fix, the plumber will fix it there and then.
• If the leak will cost more than the $200 rebate value to fix, the plumber will provide you with a quote before commencing work.
