Water Use Update - 5/12/18

Keeping your garden green

Water use has remained 'good' at an average of 7.2 million litres per day over the past week.

After rain, mulch, mulch, mulch! That's the advice from 'seasoned gardeners' in Katherine.

Mulching helps keep the moisture in the soil and protects your garden during the heat of the day.

While water use has remained down thanks to more regular rainfall, we encourage you to take advantage of all the goodness rain provides your garden and lawn.

Rainwater has natural benefits that help your plants take up more nutrients and become more robust.

Compulsory Water Conservation Measures are essential to help us manage the water supply and deliver you safe drinking water.

Thank you for helping us keep Katherine's water safe and reducing average daily water use to less than 8.5 million litres per day.
